National Campus and Community Development Corporation (NCCD) brings strong qualifications and experience in the tax-exempt financing of university-related projects, primarily housing. Founded in 2006, and headquartered in Austin, NCCD is a Texas nonprofit corporation with tax-exempt status granted under section 501c3 from the Internal Revenue Service.
NCCD has provided financing for 13 colleges and universities, including 10 student living facilities with over 7500 beds. For each of its projects NCCD works with the developer and coordinates the financing teams to ensure the project is delivered on-time and on-budget. NCCD now has ownership responsibility for more than $1 billion of higher education facilities with 30 to 40-year financing terms.
The projects have typically been financed through the issuance of tax-exempt bonds. In each case the financing was designed to provide maximum cost efficiency for the university client.
For each project NCCD creates a separate entity. NCCD then manages the financing team through negotiations, closing, and funding, and subsequent continuing responsibilities of ownership for the life of the financing. Responsibilities include supervision of the property managers and their budgets and operations; communications with federal and state regulatory entities and bondholders as well as tax filings, audits and insurance.

National Campus and Community Development was formed in 2006 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to providing our public partners with the financial foundation they need to build for a better future. We achieve this goal by cutting the time, risk, and cost in facilities development through tax-exempt financing solutions.
With over 30 years experience, NCCD’s management team brings a wide range of expertise to the design, structuring, and implementation of complex transactions, public-private partnerships, and tax-exempt financing solutions for a variety of projects.
