California College of the Arts
In the Fall of 2020, CCA, the 111-year-old nonprofit art design college added approximately 520 beds to 188 Hooper Street on the San Francisco campus. The $90 million, 550 bed building serves as housing for some of its 1,950 students. In addition, there is 10,999 square feet of public open space, a 400 square-foot deck, and an 8,000 square foot dining hall. The goal behind transforming CCA is to offer low-cost housing to students and reduce congestion by reducing commuters to the college.
